Childcare Support for
Arkansas Families
The Arkansas Childcare Bridge is developing a statewide assistance pathway for eligible families facing a verified childcare affordability or continuity gap. Assistance may be partial, temporary, or time-limited and depends on eligibility, documentation, provider participation, available funding, and written approval.
Before You Submit
The Family Interest Form helps us understand potential childcare needs across Arkansas. Submitting the form does not establish eligibility, guarantee assistance, or reserve funding.
Assistance Is Limited
Assistance depends on verified need, required documentation, provider participation, available funding, and written approval.
Payments Go to Providers
Approved assistance is paid directly to a participating licensed childcare provider and applied only to the authorized child’s account and approved childcare period.
No Duplicate Payment
The Arkansas Childcare Bridge cannot pay a childcare cost already covered by another subsidy or assistance source for the same child and period.
How the Process Works
1. Submit Interest
A parent or guardian provides basic information about the family’s childcare situation.
2. Initial Review
The Arkansas Childcare Bridge reviews the submission to determine whether additional information may be requested.
3. Verification
Potential assistance requires family documentation, provider participation, childcare-cost verification, disclosure of other assistance, and confirmation that funds are available.
4. Written Decision
Assistance is not approved until the family and provider receive written confirmation. Awards may be partial, temporary, emergency-based, or time-limited.
